Letterman Mocks Schwarzenegger While Leno Sucks Up

Jay Leno may have given Arnold Schwarzenegger's political career a big boost, but David Letterman has been relentlessly mocking the governor-elect. As part of a series of "Meet the Governor" segments, Letterman has been airing embarrassing old footage showing Schwarzenegger grasping a woman’s buttocks, smoking marijuana, and grinning goofily dressed in an Indian outfit. He has also regularly lampooned him in top 10 lists and other humorous bits.

Leno, by comparison, has gone easy on the man he introduced on election night. A study conducted by the Center for Media and Public Affairs found that during the two-month lead-up to the recall election, Letterman told 40 jokes about Schwarzenegger, while Leno told only 18.
