Wednesday October 12, 2005
"You are the best governor ever," Harriet Miers gushed in a note to then-Texas Gov. George W. Bush on his 51st birthday in 1997. She also told him he was "cool." The Harriet and George love letters, first reported by the New York Times, can now be viewed online, courtesy of The Smoking Gun.

The fawning notes Miers wrote to Bush sound as if they could have come from the Harriet Miers parody blog that sprung up last week, which calls itself "The blog of the #1 smartest President ever's #1 pick to be the next Associate Justice of the Supreme Court!"
The parody blog Jesus' General, meanwhile, has uncovered another note that could be worrisome for Bush officials.
