Will Durst: The All-American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing
Wednesday September 12, 2007
Will Durst has been called the funniest political satirist in America, and if you catch his new off-Broadway show, you’ll see why. In "The All-American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing," Durst performs one of the most unrelentingly hilarious political comedy shows in recent years. It's almost as entertaining as a Bush press conference and cheaper than a visit to the therapist.
Durst aims most of his jabs at Bush and his cronies ("I am part of his No Comic Left Behind program"), but also happily skewers Democrats, even if they don't supply the same kind of fodder ("You can’t mock a vacuum.")
Read the rave reviews of the show in The New York Times and New York Post, plus watch a hilarious video clip of Durst ranting against the Bush administration, check out some great Durst one-liners, and read a hilarious Q&A with Durst, in which he talks about getting flipped off by Olympia Dukakis, necrophilia, and helping the terrorists win.
For those of you living in New York or planning a visit there this month, you can catch "The All-American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing" now through the end of October at New World Stages in Manhattan. Complete info is available at willdurst.com.
