Barack Obama on The Daily Show

Tuesday April 22, 2008
Barack Obama on The Daily Show Appearing on The Daily Show on the eve of the Pennsylvania primary, Democratic frontrunner Barack Obama assured Jon Stewart that he does not plan to enslave the white race once he becomes president.

Referring to the recent controversies surrounding Rev. Jeremiah Wright and flag lapel pins, Stewart said, "I can tell you what the real concern is … Will you pull a bait-and-switch, sir, and enslave the white race? Is that your plan?"

Obama chuckled and said, "That is not our plan, Jon, but I think your paranoia might make you suitable as a debate moderator." (Watch the video)

It was Obama's third apperance on The Daily Show and it comes on the heels of his cameo on The Colbert Report last week, in which he competed for laughs with Hillary Clinton and John Edwards.
