Bush Photo Follies

Thursday August 14, 2008
Bush Waving Flag Backwards President Bush was once again in fine photographic form while attending the Beijing Olympics. First, while rooting for Team U.S.A. in the swimming arena, Bush proudly displayed an American flag the wrong way. As Keith Olbermann quipped, "It is the best summary of his presidency, which is: everything looks perfect from his point of view."

Later, while visiting the beach volleyball venue, things got a little weird during a photo op with defending gold medalists Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh.

Bush Volleyball Butt Slap The bikini-clad May-Treanor turned her back to Bush, bent over, and invited him to give her a good-luck slap on butt, saying, "Mr. President. Want to?"

Bush obliged by brushing the back of his hand against the small of her back. (Watch video clip)

"Perhaps the finest decision of his entire presidency," Jon Stewart noted.

Guess that's why they call it executive privilege. At least he didn't give her an uninvited neck massage.
