The 50 Dumbest Bush Quotes of All Time
Monday January 5, 2009
As the clock ticks down on Bush's presidency, we will be paying tribute to his many comic achievements. First up: Bushisms.
It was hard to whittle this list down to a mere 50, but here it is -- the ultimate compendium of the most inane, absurd, and maniacal utterances ever to come out of the mouth of President George W. Bush. A sampling:
50. "I promise you I will listen to what has been said here, even though I wasn't here." --at the President's Economic Forum in Waco, Texas, Aug. 13, 2002
45. "I couldn't imagine somebody like Osama bin Laden understanding the joy of Hanukkah." --at a White House menorah lighting ceremony, Washington, D.C., Dec. 10, 2001
3. "You work three jobs? … Uniquely American, isn't it? I mean, that is fantastic that you're doing that." --to a divorced mother of three, Omaha, Nebraska, Feb. 4, 2005

Must have taken forever to narrow it down to just 50.
48, 47, 44, 43, 42, made me laugh so hard I got tears in my eyes. 36, 34 & 32 made me sigh. 26 & 24 made me role my eyes. 23 made me laugh again. 21 & 20 made me really laugh. 19 down to 1 made me cry from sadness because I snapped back to reality and remembered that this wasn’t a stand-up act. This is real. He really is our president and he really has damaged the world.
Thank God we never have to listen to this idiot again.
like we’ve never said anything dumb in our lives.
and jen, you made me laugh even more than these “Bush-isms”. i mean, your obvious inability to spell correctly made me “role” my eyes. Or wait. Isn’t it spelled, “roll”? I’ve travelled to many countries and I always tell people: “If you think Bush is dumb, wait until you see the American people.”
