SNL Provides Horrifying Glimpse of Palin Presidency

By , About.com Guide   November 23, 2009

Follow me on:

SNL: Palin 2012 Trailer "Saturday Night Live" returned to one of its favorite pastimes -- skewering Sarah Palin, this time imagining a world in which the former Alaska governor becomes president.

Watch SNL's mock trailer for "Palin 2012," featuring a mashup of the disaster movie "2012" and clips from Palin's book tour and the 2008 campaign.

On Election Day 2012, planet Earth is going rogue.

Al Gore on SNL

SNL: Palin 2012 Trailer Al Gore appeared on SNL's "Weekend Update" and announced that he's come up with a new tactic for getting people to care about green issues, which is to start acting crazy.

Gore's cameo marked the fourth time he has appeared on SNL. The last time he was on the show, he appeared as "President" Al Gore, addressing the nation from a parallel universe in which he had won the 2000 election.

Your analysis is incredibly obtuse of the Palin 2012 trailer. It wasn’t mocking Palin, it was mocking the rhetoric coming out of the DNC and liberal commentators (hence the “DNC” and “Olbermann” producer credits.) I know, SNL’s track record would imply a Palin skewer, but in this case, it’s mirroring the public’s perception of the over-dramatic ‘prophecies’ in leftist propganda.

Wow, you have to be a ridiculously delusional Pailn supporter to see this SNL spoof as anything other than what it was: a simple parody imagining a Palin presidency to be a disaster of epic proportions. Yes, Keith Olbermann and the DNC are mentioned in passing, but if you think the satire was aimed at leftists, well, you’re just an idiot.

Funny how this accusation of being “overdramatic” is coming from a Palin supporter…the same Palin that rants about death panels.

Boingo – ” It wasn’t mocking Palin “.

If you can’t see that the SNL “Palin Apocalypse” skit is a huge stab at Palin…..then you are truly blind.

2012, Palin wins and the Earth goes Rogue.

Lucky for us Palin will never even come close to the White House. No way, no how.
