Tina Fey Unveils 'The Sarah Palin Network' on 'SNL'

Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live Tina Fey reprised her Emmy Award-winning Sarah Palin impression on "Saturday Night Live," appearing in a sketch introducing a mock "Sarah Palin Network."

Ranking right up there with Fey's best Palin spoofs from the 2008 presidential campaign, the sketch unveiled a new career path for Palin -- operating her own TV network, bringing viewers all Pailn, all the time.

Fey previewed such Palin-friendly shows as "Are You Smarter than a Half-Term Governor?", "Tea Party Wheel of Fortune" (featuring the phrase "Obamar Is a Terrist," a dig at teabaggers' inability to spell), "30 Main Street," (a parody of her own "30 Rock"), and "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (a clear dig at Leno, who recently had Palin perform her own stand-up comedy act on his show).

Still using the word “teabaggers,” man, you people are such arrogant a**holes.

It’s funny, I don’t remember you (checked your archives), SNL (or almost anyone in the mainstream media) making fun of ignorant anti-war and anti-bush protesters. Do I agree with the tea party protesters? No. But I respect their protests. Now when the media largely doesn’t appreciate the point the protesters are making, there’s an all out media blitz to find the most offensive and disagreeable protesters and make them the face of the movement.

I was there WITH THE CROWD back in 2003 at anti-Iraq war protests, and I saw no shortage of ignorance (comparisons of Bush to Hitler and so forth). But Republicans didn’t whine and moan about being offended, or at least if they did, the media didn’t play along with it. So, it pains me because I don’t really agree with them on a lot of issues, but I’ve decided to vote Republican in 2010 just as payback for this BS attempt to delegitimize a mass protest movement.

It’s scary to think where we’d be now if the media and the opposition party had treated the anti-war protests the same way (and they easily could have). If Colin Powell had gone out there in 2003, made basically the same statements Pelosi is now and had the media played along like they are now? We’d probably have invaded Iran. Not even Faux Noise was so openly derisive of the anti war protests as the media is the tea party ppl.

If Sarah Palin were exiled, the rest of us could stop threatening to move to Canada!

Here’s a short satire video that explores this issue:
