Why is this bill considered “racist” but all these comedians can make jokes about lawns not being mowed and cars not being washed due to this bill with no uproar?
Illegal means illegal…that’s all. This shouldnt be such a big deal.
It’s unconstitutional, just like California’s prop 187 and will be thrown out soon enough, but Arizona will pay a big price in lost business and ruined reputation. There should be a penalty applied to all public officials who propose and/or sign unconstitutional laws. It’s ridiculous.
So, a law was passed to make illegal immigrants illegal in AZ. Essenially, it enforces existing laws that the Feds won’t. Why is this “racist?”

Ok first of all, most of you on here are a bunch of idiots. The problem with the law is this….First of all, it’s not the state’s right to create a law about immigration, that is a federal issue. Secondly, the problem isn’t with the illegal immigrants getting correctly judged as being illegal immigrants, it’s the American citizens with Hispanic descent being incorrectly judged and harassed that everyone is worried about. Before getting all up in arms on either side of fence maybe you should do a little research.
your absolutely right Sara immigration is a federal issue that’s why we Arizonans have to take care of it ourselves because the feds aren’t doing “their” Job the Arizona law parallels the Federal law the only difference is our law gives police jurisdiction over immigration which they wouldn’t need if the feds were doing their job.
