Colbert on O'Reilly, O'Reilly on Colbert

Thursday January 18, 2007
Stephen Colbert and Bill O’Reilly faced off on each other's shows in what Colbert described as a "meeting of the guts." Colbert, who has modeled his blustering right-wing persona after O’Reilly, traded quips with O’Reilly, who admitted at one point, “I'm not a tough guy. This is all an act." To which Colbert replied, "If you're an act, then what am I?"

Colbert not only fawned all over the FOX News host, he also stole his microwave out of the FOX green room—and proudly displayed his bounty at the conclusion of his show.
