2000 Political Dot-Comedy Awards
Best Political Humor on the Web

(View award winners from 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004)

The people have spoken. All ballots have been counted, recounted, contested, accidentally tossed on the Yule log, and certified.

Thanks to all of those who either exercised their democratic right to vote, or, in keeping with the true spirit of our times, tried to devise creative ways to thwart the will of the masses. We've learned a few things from Florida — namely, that election results often don't tell the whole truth.

That's why, in addition to the popular vote count, About.com is saluting the best of the Net with our own picks. And in a nod to some of this year's other outstanding entries, we're also recognizing the best of the rest through our Honorable Mention awards.

Congratulations to all the comic geniuses behind these sites who helped elevate online political mockery to a celebrated art form during this wild election year.
