President Jesse Ventura?

During an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno 8/14/01, Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura hinted at a possible White House bid in 2004. How serious was he about it? Listen to what he said and you decide:

Jay Leno: "How about Bush? What kind of a job is he doing?"

Jesse Ventura: "I think he's doing OK. But I have a feeling on that that I may take personally. I really believe that I may be the one to show him that he shouldn’t serve a day more than his father."

Leno: "Why shouldn't he serve a day more than his father?"

Ventura: "Well, you don't want to offend your father and go beyond what your dad has done, so I might save him from that."

Leno: "So you might run for president?"

Ventura: "You never know."
