Top 5 Joe Biden Gaffes
Wednesday October 1, 2008
Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden has long been known a gaffe machine, and lately he's been living up to his reputation. Here are the most laughable Biden gaffes of the campaign so far:
5. "Look, John's last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number-one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S, jobs." --Joe Biden
4. "A man I'm proud to call my friend. A man who will be the next President of the United States — Barack America!" --Joe Biden, at his first campaign rally with Barack Obama (Watch video clip)
3. "When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened." –Joe Biden, apparently unaware that FDR wasn't president when the stock market crashed in 1929 and that only experimental TV sets were in use at that time
2. "Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Quite frankly, it might have been a better pick than me." --Joe Biden, speaking at a town hall meeting in Nashua, New Hampshire
1. "Stand up, Chuck, let 'em see ya." –-Joe Biden, to Missouri state Sen. Chuck Graham, who is in a wheelchair, Columbia, Missouri, Sept. 12, 2008 (Watch video clip)

Number 5 isn’t necessarily a gaffe (at least, it’s not the gaffe that people think it is). Most people only know Beretta as a maker of handguns, but they make high-end shotguns as well–the kinds of shotguns that Joe Biden could afford to buy.
See Beretta USA’s website: http://www.berettausa.com/product/catalogue_page_field_guns_intro.htm
actually Biden is not all that wealthy, not sure he cd buy a Beretta shotgun.
Biden not all that wealthy? You have got to be kiddding me!!! Obviously you have never been to Greenville!
Aha — it is now perfectly clear. Dem operatives created phony Palin gaffes to distract from the actual Bidenisms.
Can’t say Dems ain’t sharp and clever (and use their elbows to keep the GOP from getting close to the basket).
regarding #5, how is identifying a different stance on gun control than Obama a gaffe? Must running mates lie to make us believe they are carbon copies of their partners? I have another description of this “gaffe” – I call it honesty and it’s a refreshing characteristic of Biden in general.
How did the MSM treat Vice President Dan Quayle when he mispelled “potato”? Dan Quayle was Albert Einstein compared to Joe Biden.
Sorry, but I knew Dan Quayle. Dan Quayle was a friend of mine, and Joe Biden is no Dan Quayle. Read this list of Quayle-isms and you’ll see for yourself:

My favorite is this:
“The Holocaust was an obscene period in our nation’s history. I mean in this century’s history. But we all lived in this century. I didn’t live in this century.”
