Ever wonder what presidents really say in private? Thanks to an errant Tweet and a new tell-all book, we've got a few eyebrow-raising gems from Obama and Bush.
In what were supposed to be off-the-record comments, President Obama called Kanye West a "jackass" for his stage-crashing interruption of Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards.
ABC's Terry Moran leaked the remark on Twitter, because, well, he's a jackass, too.
TMZ has the audio of Obama's remark in context, and here's the video.
"The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person," Obama says of Swift while chit-chatting with a TV reporter. "She's getting her award. What's he doing up there? He's a jackass."
As Conan O'Brien quipped, "Not since 'Yes, we can' has Obama found a slogan so many Americans can get behind."

Me Talk Presidential One Day
Speaking of trash-talking presidents, a new book written by a former Bush speechwriter Matt Latimer reveals that the former president liked to diss other politicians.
Here's Bush on Sarah Palin: "I'm trying to remember if I've met her before. I'm sure I must have. What is she, the governor Of Guam? This woman is being put into a position she is not even remotely prepared for. She hasn't spent one day on the national level. Neither has her family. Let's wait and see how she looks five days out."
On Hillary Clinton: "Wait till her fat ass is sitting at this desk."
On Obama: "This is a dangerous world, and this cat isn't remotely qualified to handle it. This guy has no clue, I promise you."
On Joe Biden: "If bullsh**t was currency, Joe Biden would be a billionaire."
Which would make Bush Warren Buffet.
GQ has more excerpts from the book, which sounds like interesting reading.
"In 2007, I finally made it to the Bush White House as a presidential speechwriter. But it was not at all what I envisioned," Latimer writes. "It was less like Aaron Sorkin's The West Wing and more like The Office."
