1. John McCain's Tongue Gaffe

At the end of the final presidential debate, John McCain was caught on camera sticking out his tongue as he walked off stage the wrong way. McCain's zombie pose inspired a series of hilarious photoshopped images featuring McCain feeding on brains, stalking fellow politicians, and engaging in other hijinks.

2. Palin on Putin Rearing His Head and Flying Over Her

Sarah Palin boasted about her foreign policy experience to Katie Couric by saying, "As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where– where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border." (See a photo of Putin rearing his head)

3. John McCain Channels George Bush

John McCain demonstrated that he truly is President Bush's heir by declaring, "You know, I think you may have noticed that Senator Obama's supporters have been saying some pretty nasty things about Western Pennsylvania lately. And you know, I couldn't agree with them more."

4. Obama Claims He's Visited 57 States

In a rare but memorable gaffe, Barack Obama declared at a campaign event in Oregon, "I've now been in 57 states -- I think one left to go."

5. Palin Can't Name One Supreme Court Decision

In what can only be described as a train wreck in slow-motion, Sarah Palin got stumped after Katie Couric asked her to name a Supreme Court decision she disagreed with other than Roe vs. Wade.

6. Joe Biden: 'Stand Up, Chuck!'

Joe Biden lived up to his gaffe-prone reputation throughout the campaign. In one of his most embarrassing slip-ups, he called upon Missouri state Sen. Chuck Graham to "stand up" at a campaign rally, despite the fact that he is in a wheelchair.

7. Sarah Palin Can't Explain the VP's Job

During an interview with a Colorado TV station, Sarah Palin was asked a simple question by a third grader: "What does the vice president do?" She got it wrong, claiming the vice president is in charge of the Senate.

8. McCain Calls Obama 'That One'

In the most bizarre moment from the presidential debates, John McCain dismissively referred to Barack Obama as "That One." Sales of T-shirts and button promoting "That One" for president quickly became all the rage.

9. McCain Sings 'Bomb Bomb Iran'

After being asked whether the United States will "send an air mail message to Tehran," John McCain began his answer by changing the words to a popular Beach Boys song, singing, "Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran."

10. Joe Biden Calls Obama 'Barack America'

An exuberant Joe Biden committed an amusing gaffe straight out of the gate upon being announced as Obama's running mate, calling him, "Barack America."

11. Bonus Gaffe: McCain Offers His Wife for Topless Beauty Contest

At a biker rally in Sturgis, South Dakota, John McCain suggested that his wife Cindy should compete in the "Miss Buffalo Chip" Pageant, which features topless (and occasionally bottomless) contestants.

12. Bonus Gaffe: Barack Obama's Bowling Disaster

Barack Obama bowled a 37 while attempting to woo blue collar voters in Pennsylvania. As one pundit put it, "He bowls like my four-and-a-half-year-old daughter."
